派拉蒙电视网公布了新剧《美国女性》（American Woman）的首个预告片。该剧曾在TV Land获得直接剧集预订，订数为12集。派拉蒙电视网明年初开通后，该剧将转到派拉蒙电视网播出。剧情根据《比佛利娇妻》（The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills）核心人物Kyle Richards的真实成长经历改编，由John Wells和John Riggi制片，前者负责撰写剧本。故事设定在上世纪七十年代，在那个性革命和女权主义刚刚兴起的年代，主人公Bonnie Nolan（Alicia Silverstone）是个四十多岁的女人，有一套漂亮的房子和两个美丽的女儿，但是她的婚姻很失败（丈夫在外面偷情）。孑然一身的她面临一种尴尬的困境：她是个没有任何谋生手段的单身女人，如果不想点办法，她根本无法养活自己和女儿……但性格倔强的她执意要自立。Mena Suvari扮演Bonnie的密友Kathleen。Cheyenne Jackson扮演Kathleen身边最新的「小白脸玩物」Greg。他很可爱，在一家大型制片厂从事演员挑选工作。Greg劝说Kathleen对他的新经纪公司投入大笔资金，这让Kathleen的朋友们全都起了疑心。Jennifer Bartels扮演Bonnie的好友Diana，在自己的事业中已经干了10年。Diana的老板是个性别歧视主义者，Diana多年来不得不他的性骚扰和不适当的性评论，她用积极乐观的态度来度过难熬的岁月。当Bonnie和丈夫分手后，Diana意识到现实世界对女人来说太不公平，太具挑战——无论这个女人多聪明、多有能力。Makenna James和Lia Ryan McHugh扮演Bonnie的两个女儿。Diandra Lyle扮演Bonnie在百货商店的同事Louise，尽管她们有着截然不同的背景和生活经历，但她们形成了不靠谱的、有时甚至非常混乱的友谊。
