By daylight, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste are ordinary teenagers. But unbeknownst to their family and friends, the two of them carry a huge secret...using the powers of magical creatures called Kwami, they transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir! With a mission to protect the city of Paris from the evil Hawk Moth, the two of them must learn to cope with their new responsibilities, as well as ordinary troubles involving love, school, family, and friends. Most of all, they must learn to put their romantic feelings aside in order to perform their duty, unaware of each other's true identities. The second season premiere is scheduled for a global launch around September–November 2017 in Europe, At a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, it was announced that the second season would have its North American release on Netflix in December 2017, with 13 episodes to be released. KidsClick will start airing season 2 of this show in the US starting 30 August 2018, marking the first time that Season 2 of this show airing on American over-the-air television. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style. On 5 September, 2018, Skydance Media has acquired the live-action film and live-action television rights.

《魔法少女奈叶》是2004年10月首播的日本动画片。第二部《魔法少女奈叶A's》于2005年10月首播。第三部《魔法少女奈叶StrikerS》于2007年4月首播。第四期漫画《魔法战记奈叶Force》与《魔法少女奈叶vivid》分别在2009年出品并开始连载。首部剧场版《魔法少女奈叶 The MOVIE 1st》已于2010年1月23日上映。主角高町奈叶是个平凡的小学三年级女生，与好友在如同日常作息的前往补习途中，发现了从异世界米德其路达（又译米德芝尔达）来的雪貂尤诺·斯克莱亚。他利用心灵感应告诉奈叶，他来到这个世界的理由是为了回收他所挖掘到的太古遗产（平行次元中的高度文明的遗产）“宝石种子”。奈叶为了保护可能因为宝石种子暴走被破坏的城镇，决定代替尤诺出面回收。不料，这却只是一连串事件的开端。他们遇见，与他们一样目的，因为回收宝石种子而出现的谜样金发魔法少女到底是……
